SmartConnect
Overview
SmartConnect is the drag and drop user-interface for all integrations that makes eConnect as easy to use as SmartList Builder.
SmartConnect does not require a single line of code to allow you to integrate data from any source into Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Features
Create transactions from SmartList
Use SmartList queries as a data source for SmartConnect.
Combined with SmartList Builder, you can create or update records from any data in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Create transactions for all supported eConnect modules
All Microsoft Dynamics GP modules including Field Service, Project Accounting and Analytical Accounting are supported by SmartConnect.
Connect to any ODBC-compliant data source
Import records from Excel spreadsheets, legacy databases, POS systems, CRM applications and any database or file that can be accessed via ODBC.
Scheduling
Create schedules to automatically run daily, weekly, monthly, once, at system startup and at login.
Intercompany
Create transactions in more than one company at a time. You can even create transactions on different Microsoft Dynamics GP installations on separate SQL Servers.
Rolling columns
Use auto-incrementing values. Values can be a custom sequence or one of the standard sequences from Receivables Management, Payables Management, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing or Inventory Management.
Security
SmartConnect adds user security to eConnect. Users can only create and run maps for the nodes and companies that they are granted access to.
Error handling
Error handling has been made simple via the fix function, that allows you to edit records inline and then resubmit the records for processing by SmartConnect, within one simple interface.
Support for complex integrations
For the most complex of integrations, where the source data needs to be manipulated, compared, filtered or linked to external mapping rules, SmartConnect provides both VB.net or C#.net coding environments.
XML Import/Export
Export and import setup details via XML to share mappings between companies.
Support for modified and custom entities
SmartConnect can read from and write to all entities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including fields that have been added to standard entities and all custom entities.
Multi Organisation
The multi-organisation structure of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4 is fully supported allowing you to select the organisation you want to update from each Microsoft Dynamics GP company.
Real-time 2 way integration
Maps can be triggered to run from Microsoft Dynamics GP or Microsoft Dynamics CRM to update whenever a record is changed..
Scheduling
Daily schedules can be created to update Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Microsoft Dynamics GP, without the need to be logged in to either application.
Duplicate checking
The creation of duplicate records is avoided by SmartConnect following any duplicate checking rules that you set up in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Error handling
